WATERPROOFING
Waterproofing is part and parcel of what East Coast Insulations provides during our Insulation instillations. On occasions it is required of us to lift part of the roofing to install the thermal insulation when there is no access to the ceiling cavity (attic).

The other instance when is required to waterproof, is when east Coast Insulations installs the whirlybird ventilation units. The waterproofing of these is a necessary prevention to ensure that there is not rainwater gaining access to the celling or workspace.
East Coast Insulations is often requested to assist with water leaks on home roofs.
In most cases the previous waterproofing effort was adequate at the time that it was completed and for some time afterwards.
However, the one thing that is often not done is to recoat the membrane after a period of 1 to 2 years. This period is determined on how the waterproofing was done and on the quality of the sealant used.
On all of our installations, we do a pre installation inspection, if we find any defects or potential problem areas, we notify immediately of the problem and if possible, we can often remedy the situation while on site.
